Surgical Removal of Male breasts due to Gynecomastia

When young teenage boys or men come to Dr. Dean Kane's Baltimore office due to pendulant heavy male breasts that appear almost as large as women's breasts then a more extensive removal of the breast tissue is required. A male breast reduction is performed in which Dr. Kane removes the unwanted breast tissue, fat and skin having to place scars in a strategic location on the lower pole of the breasts. This surgery is very close to the woman's breast reduction with the major exception that the male breasts are reconstructed to be flat versus the female's breasts are reconstructed to be projected, perky and lifted. The recovery requires 2 weeks away from school and work, but 6-8 weeks of no physical exertion. Both boys and men are quite happy to remove the stigma of their "male boobs" and feel once the scars heal and chest hairs hide the scars they have the confidence to show off their bare chests in public.
